About Cockroaches
What dangers do Cockroaches pose?

Cockroaches are insects that can infest homes and buildings. They are considered dangerous because they can trigger allergies and asthma, and carry bacteria that can cause diseases such as diarrhea, dysentery, cholera and typhoid fever. They can also contaminate food and damage property.

In Trinidad and Tobago, some of the common cockroach species are German cockroach, brown banded cockroach and American cockroach. These species vary in size, color, behavior and habitat preferences. They can be found in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, roof voids and basements.

The best way to prevent cockroach infestations is to keep your home clean and dry, seal any cracks or holes that they can use to enter, store food in sealed containers and dispose of garbage regularly. You can also use baits, traps or insecticides to kill them if you find them in your home.

Treatment against cockroaches and ants will be delivered by our trained and certified pest management technician(s) using low toxicity pesticides and/or non-toxic alternatives which will be applied to the cracks, crevices and voids and other areas where pest harbourages or entry points may exist, to provide effective control and form an effective barrier against crawling insects. Where appropriate we will propose various mechanical control, sanitation, food source reduction, habitat modification solutions which would require the client’s active participation for a successful outcome with a minimum of pesticides if any.
